When teaching towards proficiency, it is important that our students get to know each other and feel safe in a nurturing environment where the affective filter is low and where they are inspired to participate and communicate actively. In this session, participants will discuss the profile of the 21st WL classroom and will learn about fun team building activities and strategies, and interactive brain breaks that will help our students build community, develop their character traits, and support and respect each other while learning a second language and its culture.
